Costa Fascinosa Dinner Dress Code

Hello,

 

how strict is the dress code on the Costa Fascinosa on a transatlantic trip.

My partner is rather uncomfortable with dressing up too much.

I know that we can probably eat at the buffet, if we are not able to enter the MDR.

Dress codes are just suggestions on Costa. It’s more that guests are looking out to spot the first one in t-shirt and shorts on a formal evening. I just don’t know whether it feels very well for someone very underdressed. Elegant clothing can be everything, it is not necessarily traditional formal clothing.

Most cruise lines including luxury lines are not to strict on dress code on the first night of the cruise. As for Costa, they operate  embarkation / disembarkation at most ports of call. So for many it will be their first night of the cruise even though you have been on the ship for days. As long as you don't turn up swim wear, don't worry about it.
