COVID testing

Are we required to show a negative COVID test within 48 hours (???) of getting on the ship?  We are leaving Galveston on the Regal on Dec. 17 and there were comments on that board that made it seem like this was needed.

There are no COVID testing requirements remaining in place at this point. That has long been discontinued.

None.  You can recheck just before departure, but I don’t see any testing requirements.

 

Here’s a voyage lookup from Princess.

However, if it changes, you would get an email from Princess. As that would be a major change.

For the US, yes but in some locations like Australia it was actually only very recently discontinued.

No, you do not need testing BEFORE you board...

HOWEVER.... we came home with Covid on our last 2 cruises.

One last year. One 2 months ago.

Luckily, the current strain seems to be very mild compared to the original.

Moral to the story... do not travel if you are scared of catching it.

We are in our mid 70's & will continue to travel & lead the life we choose    :O)
