Booked on a casino rate but may not be able to go but other guest can, what to do

Recommended Posts

Mom and her fried are booked on my mom's casino rate, mom may not be able to go but friend can and there are also two other people going in another cabin that they booked themselves.  So for my mom's cabin if she can't go but her friend can what's the best way to do it?  Should mom call and cancel or be a now show?  If she cancels will they charge her friend the regular room rate not the discounted "free" taxes & port charges rate?  Thanks for any help!

My understanding is that they'll reprice the cruise. We do three or four casino comp cruises per year and once I couldn't go, so I called the casino line and they said if I cancel my part they will reprice just for my DW. We both had offers. They also said a no show would result in a reprice. You Mom's best bet is to call the casino folks and feel them out.
