ATV/Off Road Rental and Doing our Own Tour

Hello! My boyfriend and I (in our 30s) were looking at ATV/Polaris RZR type tours. We will be in port in a couple of weeks on RCL. We don’t really like any of the tours we have seen online (don’t want to play “follow the leader” with a bunch of other ATVs, not interested in tequila tasting or shopping). Has anyone had experience just renting an ATV or off road vehicle and doing their own sightseeing? Any good or bad experiences? Open to any feedback! TIA!
