Marseille Olympic events may impact your port day there.

Just a heads up to advise that port calls to Marseille may be impacted by events during the Paris Olympic Games 2024 some of which are taking place in cities and towns outside of Paris.

 

Marseille will be hosting some of the sailing events, also several football events. Dates can be found on the official Olympic Games 2024 websites.

 

And the Olympic Torch route begins in Marseille on May 8th  when the torch arrives by sea from Greece. From there it will travel many towns and cities in France before arriving in Paris for the opening ceremony.

As Marseille is not the only city/town hosting event outside of Paris, (Nice and Bordeaux being only a couple of the others)probably best to check if your port of call or any of your planned excursions might also be affected by checking the official Olympic Games events websites for locations and dates.
