Iona formal nights and ? Pre booking theatre

We are going on the Iona for 2 weeks over new year , does anyone know if we still have to book pre book the theatre seats and can anyone tell me the difference between formal and celebration night please.

IRRC the difference between formal and celebration is if you are a high Peninsular club status you get a free  half bottle of champagne on Celebration night.

Yes if you want to quarantine your seat book before you go what you want to see and they just check you in when needed .You are only allocated your cabin number no particular seat no
