Judith2 Posted November 12, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2023 We will be cruising the Caribbean and Panama in December. I recently read Bonaire charges a $98 tourist tax. Does this apply to cruise passengers who get off the ship in Bonaire? Thanks
BOB999 Posted November 12, 2023 #2 Share Posted November 12, 2023 Based on this, it appears that Bonaire charges a "tourist tax" of $10 for cruise ship visitors. I would expect this to be bundled in the "Taxes and additional fees" when you pay for the cruise. https://tourismtaxbonaire.us/#:~:text=Price,tourist entry tax of %2410.
omeinv Posted November 12, 2023 #3 Share Posted November 12, 2023 (edited) @BOB999 is correct, the cruise visitor tax is in the taxes and fees, and is $10.00, not the higher amount charged for other visitors. Also the marine park fee is not charged for single day visitors. Harris Denver, CO Edited November 12, 2023 by omeinv
