El Totumo from Cartagena

Hi! I haven't been on a cruise since i was kid and in March my family and I are doing a 15 day Panama canal cruise with Princess. I really don't like most of the excursion options from the cruise line, so I've been exploring other options.

In Cartagena i saw the mud bath in El Totumo volcano and was awestruck! My kids are also desperate to do it. The thing is, we are only there from 7 am to 3 pm. Is that enough time?

I have found a few private tour operators that would take us, but reviews in general are really mixed. Does anyone have experience with this as a self-made excursion? Or else other ideas of what to do during this stop?

Any replies would be greatly appreciated!
