Embarkation process Medalion Cruise from Auckland New Zealand

Has anyone boarded a princess ship from Auckland?

Although we are experienced Princess Cruisers (CC Platinum) we will soon be going with them for the first time since 2019

 

Been using the Medalion (CR)app but i seem to be stuck in the Blue lane. Am i right in thinking that you cannot get into the Green lane unless your cruise medalion has been posted to you in advance, which, according to the app can only happen if you live in the US or Canada?  So therefore there would be no Green Lane bording in Auckland?

 

Ive read that Princess no longer issue specific boarding times for cruisers, so everyone can just turn up when they want and wait in a huge queue?

 

Also as a Platinum member I should be entitled to priority boarding. Any idea how this will work in Auckland?

Hi,

You are correct. There is no Green Lane at Auckland for embarkation. With regards to your status and priority boarding, when you go to Auckland, you will need to queue up with the lower classes 😛 for the immigration lines, but once through there, they then funnel you into more queues to have your paperwork checked, and receive your medallion etc. This is where you will be able to laud it over the rest, and go down a different lane which will, effectively, bring you out at the front of the main queue, to have your paperwork checked and medallion issued, then you can get straight on.
