COLandlocked Posted March 20, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 20, 2006 I contact both of these hotels for availability of Day Passes. The Wyndam does not offer a pass. You will have to reserve a room. Going rates as of today for March 31st is $259.00 Nassau Beach Hotel also does not offer a pass. However, they will charge the lowest available rate of $145 plus tax for use. Just thought I would pass this information on to you.
joannefr Posted March 20, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 20, 2006 I was there last Wed. and we just walked in and no one said a word. I was a little worried because it looked like some people had wrist bands but no one asked us to leave. It is pretty busy there, I don't think anyone even noticed us. pt in ct Posted March 21, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 21, 2006 We took scubagirl's advixe....take the #10 jitney to Cable Beach, walk through the lobby to the beach. We used the pools and beach, no problem. We had an awesome time and went on a banana boat ride. We noticed the wrist bands, too....spoke with some college students...they were for specific tours/drinking specials.;)
COLandlocked Posted March 21, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted March 21, 2006 Which hotel did you go to? Where you allowed to use the pool area too? If so what was it like? I am about to book a day pass at the Radisson so let me know what you think we should do. Thanks
pt in ct Posted March 21, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 21, 2006 No problem. Used pool with water slide, basketball net and volley ball net. Used the hot tub and went onto the beach. Along the strip of beach was a band and rentals. We went on the Banana boats and all had a great time! There were jet ski rentals available, too! scubagirrl Posted March 21, 2006 #6 Share Posted March 21, 2006 Which hotel did you go to? Where you allowed to use the pool area too? If so what was it like? I am about to book a day pass at the Radisson so let me know what you think we should do. Thanks In looking over these posts, and knowing what I know from the past.. I would probably NOT book a room or get a day pass. Radisson has been the only place so far to refuse cruisers, and that's because they have an all-inclusive feature. I'd just walk thru the Wyndham and out the back. Purchase a drink, act like you belong and see what happens. The worse that could happen is that you have to use the public beach next to the Nassau Beach Hotel (just a few meters down) In the next few months and years, lots of changes will take place in the Cable Beach area, but for now.. I'd chance it. NOT at the Radisson, but either the Wyndham or Nassau Beach hotel. I'm not guaranteeing anything.. but there's a good chance that noone will say a thing. If possible, bring towels other than the cruiseships.. they are a dead giveaway.
COLandlocked Posted March 21, 2006 Author #7 Share Posted March 21, 2006 I guess we will try it. What is the worst they can do, throw us out. We will not have any towels other then the ships (if I pack any more my husb*** will kill me). I really appreciate your help. I will let you know what happens when we get back. dismom3 Posted March 21, 2006 #8 Share Posted March 21, 2006 Wouldn't we be dead ringers if we bought our own beach/disneyworld towels from home?
sun~ Posted March 24, 2006 #9 Share Posted March 24, 2006 dead ringers are the plain blue towels of HAL or NCL or the striped towels of NCL. I noticed the Nassau beach hotel towels were a royal blue and very large. No body said a word to us even with our ship towels. Saw quite a few others as well. Good idea to bring your own towel there - just get the small cheapo ones and leave the nice beach towels at home. You won't stand out with your own towels. anadi Posted March 26, 2006 #10 Share Posted March 26, 2006 Is there a place to change into swimsiuts at the Wyndham? My teens aren't too keen on the idea of wearing their suits under their clothes. thanks.

My teens aren't too keen on the idea of wearing their suits under their clothes. thanks. You can change in the restrooms, but without paying for a pass, there's no rooms or lockers for guest. Restrooms near the beach and pools can be pretty wet (dripping bathing suits) There's indoor restrooms near the restaurants and casino.
Elaine515 Posted March 28, 2006 #12 Share Posted March 28, 2006 ... We just used the Wyndhams beach this past Saturday and actually had/used ugly green towels supplied to us by Costa!!! Noone said a word to us... We laid the towels down and went swimming.... The waitress came over to us and took our order (food definitely is not a ripoff here). We rented jetskis and went parasailing and had a blast and not one person said anything to us..... It was great.... :)
anadi Posted March 30, 2006 #13 Share Posted March 30, 2006 Did you use the pool too? I would rather be at the beach, but the boys might rather use the pool.

steviek49 Posted April 6, 2006 #16 Share Posted April 6, 2006 Hi, Will be on HAL cruise in a few days. We have booked the Comfort Suites at Atlantis for the day but am now considering just going to the Wyndham or Nassau Beach hotel. How do we get there from the Port? From most comments it looks like I could save the $238 I will be spending at CS
