Regal Princess embarkation in Galveston

Have recent embarkations   Regal Princess Regal improved any recently?  We have been hearing about very long lines outside but then nothing.  Any info? Best time to arrive for parking at EZ Cruise? Any other helpful hints?

We boarded the Regal on Nov12th and the embarkation was chaos.  Disembarkation on 11/19 was also bad - customs required face to face confirmation instead of using facial recognition software. Since disembarkation on 11/19 took so long, I assume embarkation was also delayed.  Txnight did a "live" for the Nov. 26th cruise and reported: "Our disembarkation time was 8am. We went down at 7:15 to people watch. Noticed the line was moving so we got in. The line moved good and we were at our car at 8.   No facial was used just a quick look at passport."

We just boarded on Jan 14th. Easy!! We left our hotel at 9:30 and we were on board by 10:30. We parked at the Express Lot dropped off our luggage and entered the building. No lines for security or check-in. We sat in chairs for a couple minutes and they started boarding at 10:15.

I'm cruising out of Galveston for the first time in February.  Does Princess offer a separate check in waiting line for platinum/elite guests?  Do they also offer a platinum and/or elite waiting room inside the terminal if you're unable to walk on the ship yet?

There was no separate line for security or check in but upstairs in the waiting room there was a separate seating area.

We went on Jan.7th get there early, we were there around 9:30, still had to stand inline outside, but were among the first to go in and check in was so easy with the medallion and were on the ship by 10:30.

It seems like the issues that have been reported earlier have been resolved. We arrived on 1/28 around 10:15 am and waited about 5 minutes outside before being let into the terminal. They started allowing people through the security checkpoints at 10:30 am. We were on board by 11:00 am.
