I'm interested in the Byzantines. Went to the old walls. Miles out. Took the #38 bus. Followed Steves' route and it got me to everything on it. From the old walls, ruined synagogue, four Orthodox churches (I'm Orthodox), and a working synagogue (the oldest in Istanbul). And the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Amongst other things.
