Allyg8r Posted March 21, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2006 I'm sorry if this is a silly question, but I am bringing lanyards and want to get holes put in the cards when we board so I can hook them on. Where on the ship can we do this? Thanks muchly. :)
suzeyQ Posted March 21, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 21, 2006 The guest relations desk will do it.
jillybabes Posted March 21, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 21, 2006 I bring my own hole puncher so I do not have to go to guest relations. Got it at Walmart for 50 cents. Beats standing in line on the first day:D
fpcruiser Posted March 21, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 21, 2006 Is there a certain place on the card that the hole should be punched?
Merion_Mom Posted March 21, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 21, 2006 My lanyard has a very strong clip instead of a hook, so I don't need a hole. :) You can also buy lanyards that have a clear plastic sleeve or envelope for your card - again, no hole needed. Happy cruising!
SakeDad Posted March 21, 2006 #6 Share Posted March 21, 2006 Are the Sea Passes laminated so they don't get wet? Is that why you would need a lanyard?
Merion_Mom Posted March 21, 2006 #7 Share Posted March 21, 2006 No, it's so you can wear it around your neck and not have to worry about carrying it or having a pocket in what you are wearing. (it's the size and material of a credit card with no raised numbers)
monkeyzero Posted March 21, 2006 #8 Share Posted March 21, 2006 This is a very stupid idea. When there are hole punches in the cards, it prevents you from being allowed to purchase alcoholic beverages and do other things. You might want to ask RCCL about this. skypilotks Posted March 21, 2006 #9 Share Posted March 21, 2006 Well if the holes are in the same places they put the holes for the kids (one hole for 18-21 that can drink beer, and 2 holes for under 18) then you might have a problem! also if you are hooking something into the hole you'll need to make sure it dosn't interfer with siding the card into the security slot on exiting, and entering the ship, and also your door lock! lilyfrog73 Posted March 21, 2006 #10 Share Posted March 21, 2006 Merion_Mom, Where did you get the lanyard with the clip? I was planning on the hole punch too but don't want to do something I shouldn't.

Monkey, you are a little too obsessed with this drinking thing, methinks! There are those of us who would be HAPPY to be questioned by ship's personnel as to whether we were of legal drinking age! ;)
Desertbelle Posted March 21, 2006 #13 Share Posted March 21, 2006 It's not rocket science. :) It's not hard to tell where the best place to punch the hole would be and even if you somehow made a mistake the cards are easily replaced in a few minutes at the guest relations counter. Though I bring my own hole-punchers, the cards are very thick plastic and I have had 2 of them break...at those times the Guest Relation people were more than happy to punch the card for me. I love having my card on a lanyard. I put a little suction-cup hanger on the back of the cabin door and hang it up when I come in and when I leave the cabin I see it there and always remember to take it with me. momtorres Posted March 21, 2006 #14 Share Posted March 21, 2006 Get your sea card punched at the casino cashier window - no lines there! They sometimes have those coiled cords there for free that you see in casinos for slot machine players.
