yconeal Posted December 28, 2023 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2023 I booked 2 rooms on Carnival for 4 people. All of the double occupancy rooms were sold out (ocean view) so I chose the triple occupancy rooms that are next to each other. Will Carnival change my rooms if I call and say there's only going to be 2 people in each room? This is my first time on a cruise.
pr8hd Posted December 28, 2023 #2 Share Posted December 28, 2023 Why would you call? If the reservation system accepted your cabin selection without a change in fare (Cabin category), there is NO reason to do anything but enjoy the cruise. Often, cabins of the same type/location may have different occupancy (2-3-4) based on furnishings, design and so on. If you have time, refer to the 'cabin selection' topics here and elsewhere.

This is correct. The website would have only let you book staterooms appropriate for your party.

jsglow Posted December 28, 2023 #5 Share Posted December 28, 2023 You're fine. Enjoy your cruise. Triples/quads often get used by couples. In fact often the last cabins available are adjoining quads (think kids room next to parents) that don't get used and are handed out to GTY bookers. IF then end up needing it, they'll let you know and re-accomodate you.
Rare Haljo1935 Posted December 28, 2023 #6 Share Posted December 28, 2023 I've sailed many times in cabins that hold 3 or 4 people when my original booking was only for 2.😏 Welcome to cruising ⛴️, welcome to CC and welcome to Carnival. You're one of us now!!🥳
