I am taking a trip to attend an event. The event tickets cost more than the price of the hotel and flights combined. Will trip insurance cover the cost of the event if purchased?

What type of event? When purchasing tickets many times there is an option to purchase event insurance

No, it wouldn't be a concert or anything, it's an eventbrite event.

Some travel insurance plans do cover event tickets.  However, id you pay for the tickets after arriving at your travel destination, you will not be covered.  Your tickets must be paid for prior to leaving for the trips and those tickets must be non-refundable to be eligible for coverage.  Remember to include the cost of the tickets in the overall cost of your trip and save your receipts.

Eventbrite is just the ticket vendor, the organizer would determine refund policy, if the event costs that much there may be a policy you can purchase
