I remember having issues once after eating bad food, when I went to the ships med center I asked if it might be noro.  She asked me if I made it to the toilet, when I said yes, she said no it’s not noro 😳

Not true. Our entire family contracted Noro on a DCL Xmas cruise 18 years ago.

Was a rolling infection...DS5 last day of cruise...DD & I the next day (luckily didn't hit until we got home), DS10 & DH the following day.

No one didn't make it to the bathroom.

I'm sure that is the case for some.

DH and I tested positive for covid on day 6 of a 7 day cruise last February. (Sky)The medical center came to the cabin and tested both of us at no charge, and asked if we needed any med's (we didn't)  We were told to isolate and given room serviced from the main dining room and a letter was slipped under the door promising a credit for the missed day of $44.00 each to be applied to our Princess account within 30 days. It was.

The next morning we were escorted off the ship at 7:00 AM via a service elevator. When we left the cabin a cleaning crew in hazmat suits were waiting to go in to clean the cabin. Fortunately we were able to drive home from the port and recovered quickly. We felt that Princess handled the situation well.

On a cheerier note...we had a fabulous British Isles cruise on the Regal last May and did not get sick.

Good thing we had a balcony; I can't image how it would be isolated in an inside cabin.

I always felt this way but, thinking back when I had Covid (at home, not on a cruise) I actually don’t think I went outside on our patio once while feeling like crap. Just seems I spent 99% of the time in bed sleeping or watching TV. I still like the idea of having a balcony if I had it on a ship though.

BTW, happy to hear you are feeling much better Art😊👍

So true. We masked all the time...everywhere, except while we were eating in the MDR. Still got it.

I think most everyone that wears a mask feels that dropping them in the MDR won’t translate into getting infected but, I have a feeling most of the spread of Covid happens there. But, how in the world do you eat without dropping your mask? 🤷‍♂️

that's not how covid spreads. And yes, masks prevent spreading the virus.

I would say masks reduce the spreading but, don’t agree that they prevent it.

Cheers
