Has anyone done this recently? How far is the train station in Civitavecchia from the port? TIA

About 2 miles depending on dock location, 30-45 minute easy walk, pack light, flat streets along the ocean. We did it in May 2023. Train is very affordable.

Theres a shuttle bus from the station to the ship It costs 6 Euros. In 2023 the train cost 4.25 Euros one way for seniors. About $5.

There are a couple of good YouTube videos that show exactly how to do this, including the walk to the port. Enjoy your cruise!

Did it in November.  15 to 20 minute flat walk but as others have mentioned there are shuttle busses also.   Train from Rome was like 10€ so dirt cheap also….

Also, there are multiple places where ships can dock.  They are not all considered "walkable".  I would research the shuttle buses.  In May 2023, I used the 6 euro bus from train station right to my ship.  It couldn't have been easier.  You need cash for the bus.
