  1. Well per the drink package of what is covered for regular and premium rums.
  2. ...and that is why you have ever right to stay on the ship and enjoy. The hope here is give people the option do do what they want and not be forced into one or the other...
  3. but I would MUCH rather spend the day on a wide open beach then trying to spend the day elbowing my way to the tiny pool on the ship with 3000-4000 of my (not) closest friends if it is cancelled...
  4. Did it in November. 15 to 20 minute flat walk but as others have mentioned there are shuttle busses also. Train from Rome was like 10€ so dirt cheap also….
  5. Just booked a BtB last week (in US) and it was still $50 and $100.
  6. Well not to sound to stand offish, given I posted this in the Celebrity cruise line board.... We are sailing on the Constellation from Rome. I am absolutely not going to be using or needing anything more then basic service with this one exception so I have zero interest in upgrading for 16 days to send up one excel file for my church.... Celebrity gives elite and above members a fixed number of premium minutes so I know they offer it, at least in some capacity. Unfortunately I am not elite yet....
  7. I am on a 16 day TA coming up and it looks like I may have to do a little office work and upload a file or two about 1/2 way through the cruise. Normally basic internet works for checking email but if I have to upload a spreadsheet or two I doubt that would be acceptable. Can you purchase minutes of premium Wi-Fi or a single day ?
  8. HI: yes I checked ours said the same thing. I called "X" with the certificates in front of me along with the dates my CC was charged and the amounts, etc. They cant find the records of the certificates even though I received several emails from Celebrity reminding me to use them over the past 6 months and they "used to be" in my profile on the web site (no longer are). So now I am having to send them things to prove I purchased them to get the refund... Lovely....
  9. Thanks. I thought it was 6 months was for both. Now I will have to dig up the paperwork and double check...
  10. This past February we purchased 2 "future cruise" credits on-board where you have 6 months to make a selection otherwise you were refunded the deposit paid. Well it has been well over a month since those expired as we didn't find anything we really wanted to book. Does anyone have any experience how long before we will see the $400 in refunds back on our credit card? Should I be calling Celebrity or just wait patiently?
  11. We are booked on a 16 night transatlantic on the Constellation and looking at purchasing a speciality dining package upgrade. I can find the regular speciality resturant menus but can not find any info on "special nights". I remember that X typically has some "special lunches and dinners" on board ( for a charge), often held in the Sushi resturant. Last cruise we had a great Indian dinner one night and seemed to remember a "seafood extrvaganza" menu one day at a speciality resturant. Does anyone know what special dinners may be offered or have menues from past trips? Thanks.
  12. No bars closed outside of normal hours. Never charged any taxes in ports. Had a drink in my hand 15 minutes after boarding in Southampton. Same for Belfast.
  13. Just got back. We booked through Paddytours and have 3.5 hrs at blarney castle and 1.5 hrs at Kinsale.
  14. Just got off the Star this Morning. First groups off started at 6am sharp today.
  15. Cheers, Just ordered at O'sheehan's. Full bar open. I guess those extra bottles of wine packed will just have to wait. 🙂
  16. Original poster here. I received an FCC good for 1 year from debarkation date of the original cruise. Now to find something to take before the end of next may...
  17. yea that's the trouble, docs I have seen Galway is a dock and Killybegs is tender. If you look up port info on the internet Killybegs port sight shows us on the 26th when we are there on the 25th. So... Seeing is believing thus the request for feedback and real to life info... BTW, Enjoy the trip looking forward to reading about your great time!
  18. We are on the 21st sailing also. There seems to be lots of confusion as to which ports are tender vs. docked. Specifically Dingle, Galway, and Killybegs so providing that info would be great. Also for the tender port if yu could pass on what time last tender from shore is. Many of us are trying to book non NCL purchased shore excursions and knowing what last tender or all aboard is would help a lot. THANKS!
  19. YEs a head shot (no glasses allowed ) is required . Passport info required (or other ID form as selected) not specifically Birth certificate. Just did ours yesterday
  20. We are in Galway for one day in May on the NCL STAR in May. The wife really want to go to Cliffs of Moher. The cruise line does not offer a tour and any tours I have found the timing cuts it far to close on return, especially since this is a tender port I believe. A "private car" is 600 euros (and I am a cheap SOB) so thinking about a car rental. Does anyone have experience here? What rental places are near the pier, etc...
  21. I just saw that the exact category cabin I have book on our May cruise is now over $300 P/P less then it was when we booked with all the same "free at sea" amenities. Will NCL honor a refund, on board credit, FCC, etc. on the price change? Of course we are long since final payment was made...
  22. Just got off Equinox a couple hrs ago. Prime rib last night of the cruise and it was great!
  23. Next weeks Equinox schedule has been messed up this weekend. Day 5 (Friday) is only the kids menu and other days have the wines missing. Something is changing.
  24. So everyone is up in arms over the new onboard charges and increases. $9.95 room service, $16.95 additional lobster, $20 increases in beverage package, etc. I notice no-one is acknowledging that “X” seems to be making large onboard credit almost standard with their cruise promotions. Bottom line they are just balancing things out giving us extra monies for onboard credit and charge us more for onboard items…. At least for now I think the large onboard credit promotions are here to stay…. Bottom line does all that on board credit offset the up charges? Personally I they offset each other but it gives “X” more of the nickel and dime feel like we have found on other lines….
