serene56 Posted March 22, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 22, 2006 I dont know where you are seeing 9327 & 9241 are across the hall from an elevator-- they are not. they are located in the middle of a hall. deck 6 is the upper deck and the cabin numbers start with #6 THe best deck to be on in the Empress deck. above and below you are cabins and not public areas.. so you dont have to worry about noise. Empress deck is cat 8B cabins.. except the green and yellow. THese are 9A located on the corners on the aft (bottom of the page) or suites Elevators are located in smaller rooms called banks. We were outside in 1211 on the LEgend and the assignment wsa perfect. no we did not hear any noise at all from the elevators. We did not hear the ding nor did we hear a lof of noise from people getting on and off

serene56 Posted March 23, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 23, 2006 if you booked the cabins as a guarantee there isnt much you can do about it except pay for an upgrade at todays prices. But if you are located by the elevators..thats a good thing. Let me know how ya made out
nspm_1956 Posted May 10, 2006 #5 Share Posted May 10, 2006 We have booked cabin 9260 on the Valor which is beside the elevators. Also wondering about the noise level. Any advise?
serene56 Posted May 10, 2006 #6 Share Posted May 10, 2006 9260 is an inside cabin. on the deck plans do you see that line below your cabin-- thats a wall. the elevators are in a seperate room. You will not hear anything from that area. THe elevators dont have bells but kind of a ding- you have to be listening for them even when in the room with them. People waiting for a elevator could be nioisy-- depends on the people. but for you-- you shouldnt hear them. on top of you is cabin space-- not public areas so you should be good.
