Cruise Credits

I wish to pre book excursions for a future cruise that I have booked.  Haven't cruised for years so I am not accustomed to their policy of charging for the excursion before it is actually taken.  My concern is that their refund policy states that if one cancels before the closing for that excursion closes a cruise credit will be given.  If at the end of the cruise, that credit remains, will it be refunded.  I can't guarantee that I will take future cruises so I don't want a future cruise credit.

It's usually an OBC. IIRC, it will be refundable. Therefore, you would get a check in the mail approx. 3-6 weeks after the cruise (if you don't spend it on the ship).

Things may have changed since the last time I've actually canceled an excursion...but as I recall I was refunded back to my credit card.
