Future Cruise Benefits when booking on board

Could someone please share any benefits you received when you booked a future cruise on board recently?  I will be sailing in March and am considering a June Northern Europe cruise.  Wondering if it is worth waiting until I'm onboard to book.  The risk of waiting is that the flight prices could increase dramatically.  The Northern Europe cruise does not have Yacht club, so I would be looking at a solo balcony.

Any ideas where to find prices for excursions prior to booking?  I'm a bit nervous that the Northern Europe ports will be $$$.

Unless something has changed recently this is likely to be the current deal...

You also get whatever is available by booking on the MSC web site.

Regarding excursions, I've always found the MSC prices to be low compared to Celebrity for example.

So doesn't really seem like it's worth waiting for $100.  Thanks for the info.

@Mark_T do you happen to know if you book onboard and pay a $398 deposit, does that count towards on-board spending for VC points?

I don't believe so as it doesn't appear on your onboard account.

If your deposit is refundable (i.e. not YC), then you could always booked before and then wait to get on board to see what the price is like.

The only difference I see, is lower deposit and more OBC.

I booked on board last year for my upcoming cruise this March. I received a lower deposit and $50 OBC for booking on the ship.

Recently, I upgraded to the Yacht club and lost that 50. OBC.
