Phillan1 Posted January 21 #1 Share Posted January 21 I am interested in a trans Atlantic cruise - westward to the US. I would like to leave the cruise at Port Canaveral (my home port) before the cruise finishes at the next port in Fort Lauderdale (or in some other cruises Miami). None of the TA options that finish in Canaveral are appealing. My question - how is this done? how to avoid a fine? are any cruise lines easier than others to do this? Advice greatly appreciated. Heidi13 Posted January 21 #2 Share Posted January 21 Since you are booking a trans-Atlantic there should not be any fines, as PVSA is not applicable. All it requires is contacting the cruise line in advance, to confirm that the shore authorities have the resources available to handle a disembarkation. However, since it requires changes to the ship's manifest, some cruise lines may charge a fee.
mouse1961 Posted January 22 #3 Share Posted January 22 Did you find a transatlantic that goes to Canaveral and then onto Lauderdale or Miami? Just wondering as I don’t think I’ve ever seen that.
