South China Sea in June

We leave a month after you and I've heard cautionary tales of typhoons, rough seas and horrific humidity - and I've heard the seas were like glass and the humidity was quite tolerable. Since I get motion sick in the bathtub, I'm not risking anything - I've got my Dramamine, Bomine, wrist braclet and ginger tablets - with any luck, I won't need any of them, but I would plan for rough seas, just in case.

I hae sailed on the South China Sea for many years. Aside from the terrible pollution problems, this body of water is highly unpredictable. More often than not, it is quite choppy, with surprise gales, typhoons, and very heavy rains.
