I usually book our flights as soon after booking a cruise as I can. I am always afraid that if I wait, I'll get stuck with bad seats on the plane. I also book as soon as I can any pre or post cruise hotel reservations.

I never ever buy a seat on a plane let them assign me one. Usually end up up front and if I don't. So what I'll be on a cruise in a day

So what I'll be on a cruise in a day In the past I have had status with the airline so I am able to choose my seat upon booking. This changes next year as I will no longer be flying as frequently as before. Then again, I'll no longer be flying as frequently as before so it might not matter as much.
