Taxis to and from Charleston port

I'm staying the night before my March cruise at a downtown hotel and would assume I could get a taxi to the port.  True? I'm wondering if, upon return, there will be a taxi line at the port to take me to the airport.  There has been one for every other port I've visited.   Or do I have to make an appointment for a taxi?  I don't know how I'd know in advance what time I can get off the ship.
