Sapphire Princess Question

Is there a convenience store on the Sapphire Princess? Someplace to purchase items like sun block, alka seltzer, pepto & such.

Yes there is, but you will pay premium prices there.

Try and anticipate any needs before the cruise...over the counter products, sun products..camera's etc...The prices are quite high and you can't be sure you will be able to obtain the things you need in port..have a good cruise...Laurie:D

I see you are going on the Sapphire Mexican Riviera cruise. Your first stop will be Puerto Varrata. Across the street from the dock is a Wal-Mart and a Sam's Club you can go to if you forgot something onboard the ship and need to load up. We bought a 2-liter bottle of Diet Coke for $1.55. Things are much cheaper onshore than on the ship.

You may want to check out the packing lists (on cruise rituals here and on ***************). I usually put some tylenol, sudafed, antihistimine, etc. in a ziploc bag. Just think of the little store on the ships as being like a 7/11 but with even higher prices. Plus, I wouldn't trust the viability of the meds -- they may be close to the expiration dates if they've been on the shelf for awhile.

I found the Sapphire's stock of miscellaneous (toothpaste, stomach remedies, cold remedies, etc.) to be reasonable. It was more complete and less expensive than most major hotels. True it was much more expensive than your local drugstore, but you don't have to feel like you are out of luck if you have an "emergency."

There is toilet paper in the bathrooms, no need to buy or bring that :)
