I will be on the Viking Italian Sojourn in late April/early May and am trying to decide between the Pompeii & Sorrento tour or the Riviera by Land & Sea excursion. Does anyone have feedback on either of these? Any info on other excursions is also welcome!!

IMO, you will absolutely want to see Pompeii, a world heritage sight and stunning experience. Going to Sorrento after will give you a nice peek at the Italian Riviera even though not along the Amalfi coast per se.

We are scheduled to spend a week in Sorrento in April and plan to re-visit Pompeii (last visited in 2003), and do day trips to Amalfi & other towns on that coast. This is our 4th time of trying to schedule this trip—first time was Sept. 2020!

You will love it I’m sure!
