Actually, it was a trade of a sail-by in a bay on an Antarctic peninsula for a sail-by in a similar-looking bay on an Antarctic island.  So… similar experience, just less impressive bragging rights.

 

My guess is that there was a screw-up (not posting IAATO's new speed restrictions for this season into the navigation system's voyage management plan from last season) and it wasn't caught much before embarkation.

There’s no communication. The Captain hasn’t talked to the passengers even once. They just want to know why. Legally MCL can do anything they want but the PR is dreadful.

My sister and I are end of August for over 20 days.  Fingers crossed.

They don't offer much in the way of consideration for the disruption of people's plans, "We are happy to extend a $250 shipboard credit per stateroom on your new booking, whether on Allura or any ship in our fleet sailing in 2024 or 2025."  How generous.

 

 

I noticed the lack of a nice thank you for dealing with changes.  We booked the 24 day Caribbean cruise Nov 15 2025 and it was reduced to 19 days due to a change in the inaugural schedule.  No bonus at all other than a 5 day prorated discount.

We sailed on NCL Prima's third cruise and agree about the quality.  Certainly not like the German's shipbuilding.  Just reading about everything breaking was sad.
