Can anyone tell me if this covers more than cruise cancellation?  I was quoted  $478 for a 7 nt Alaskan cruise $2730pp basic price.

We paid less than that for our Alaskan cruise, including the 5 days of land I booked afterwards. I always buy from third parties and get everything covered including air fare, hotels, excursions, and trip interruptions as well as medical evacuation. You have to shop around and compare features, pay outs, restrictions, and always make sure that you're purchasing from a reputable company.
