Do the luggage tags have to be printed in color?

We got tired of buying a new cartridges (always before a cruise!) and dumped our printer about a year and half ago. We have since done multiple cruises (mostly HAL, Celebrity and with NCL last week) without printing anything.

 

They have tags and will just write your room number on them if you don't bring tags.

No, they don't have to be in color. Our printers are always acting up, so instead I just send a print job to my local UPS store and they do a nice job of printing them for me. 🙂

Also note that the luggage tags do say on them what color they are supposed to be.

B/W is fine.

 

There is no real meaning for the color. It represents the ship you are on. Everyone on your cruise is the same color.
