Buy 1 Get 3 Free Ended

Recommended Posts

I was hoping to call in to make a Reservation for the Islander in September today. I didn’t want to book online because I wanted to choose my own cabin. Yesterday I received an email stating this buy one get 3 passengers was good until 2/12.  Today I call to find out that corporate decided to end the promotion early and today it’s back to the usual buy one get one. I guess I’ll spend my cruise $ elsewhere. I’m bummed out because I was kind of excited to try Margaritaville

You may want to try a mock booking online before throwing MAS under the bus.  Base fares are cheap.  Taxes and port fees, charged PP are the same no matter what.

.

For some mysterious reason the fare is usually the same no matter which promotion is running.  The exception to this was using GovX for the 'Heroes' promo which actually was significantly more expensive.

Not only that, but they're advertising BOGO as low as $149 for the first, second goes free, on their new Islander ship. But when you look at the various lead prices, there's nothing even close to that price.

I guess they've yet to realize they've got thousands of cabins to sell and the ship is sailing relatively  soon. They better quit playing games.

I definitely did the mock booking. The new deal would be over $400 more for the cruise in a breezy balcony that we’d planned to book. With the total price and then the $300 fuel surcharge (4 people/5 nights). I’m looking at pricing that is almost as much as the Carnival Celebration or Mardi Gras 7 night cruise for the same sail dates.
As a lifelong JB fan (RIP) and a Tampa resident, I was really wanting to do this cruise. But MSC Or Carnival really have better pricing on some really nice ships.

Yep.  I suspect the PTB at MAS outsource much of their advertising and customer service and NO ONE is bothering to pay attention to the published results.   Your notation about (non-existent) $149 Islander fares and the Blender Cup image in the beverage package being examples.

..

Hopefully they GYST soon!
