Megs867 Posted February 9 #1 Share Posted February 9 So my boyfriend and I are looking to book a cruise to Alaska. He has never been before so we are going to choose the larger ship (Anthem or Quantum). Any preferences between the two ships? And why? preferred cruise stops? best things to do in Alaska (with limited mobility)?
neverbeenhere Posted February 10 #2 Share Posted February 10 If you can sail out of Vancouver do that. classic stops are: Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan, Victoria. skagway: white pass railway or stay around town red onion saloon? Juneau: Mendenhall Glacier or stay around town red dog saloon? Our preferred stop is The Hanger on the Wharf. Ketchikan: Creek Street or Lumberjack show. limited mobility means many things, so check out these to see if they can be done. The wheeled craft could get you to anything. Megs867 Posted February 10 Author #4 Share Posted February 10 You are correct I should have been a bit more specific. Neuropathy in legs and feet so sometimes can not walk very far. So we may have to bring a wheelchair or cane. Also unable to squat or kneel so nothing with support low to the ground seats. thank you
time4u2go Posted February 10 #5 Share Posted February 10 I know that you have mentioned Royal Caribbean ships but consider going on Princess. Princess goes to Glacier Bay National park, Royal Caribbean does not. Glacier Bay is not to be missed!
