annster31 Posted February 10 #1 Share Posted February 10 We have an overnight in Kona in September on the Edge, we are trying to book a tour that probably would not be back to the pier till 1130 pm ( the ship leaves the next day at 5pm. But its showing as a tender port. Anybody know if they had ran overnight tenders? Thank you
lovecruzin Posted February 10 #2 Share Posted February 10 (edited) Our experience with overnights (4 with a similar itinerary to yours) is the tenders do run 24/7 less frequently overnight. You may have a 30-45 min wait. Edited February 10 by lovecruzin

Northern Aurora Posted February 10 #4 Share Posted February 10 We have also overnighted in Kona, albeit a number of years ago. The tenders did run all night but not as frequently. A number of the crew will be off. Bars and restaurants near the tender pier will be busy that night.
annster31 Posted February 11 Author #5 Share Posted February 11 Thanks, I saw on you tube NCL Pride in Kona using their life boats I assume there are no tender companies in Kona so the Edge would do the same
mahasamatman Posted February 11 #6 Share Posted February 11 In some ports there's a mix of ship tenders and local tenders depending on what's available at the time.
