Kids Club - At Capacity?

Recommended Posts

We were on Freedom this past President's Day weekend for a 3 night out of Miami.  On the first night, we went to Adventure Ocean just before 8 PM and there was a long line to check-in (typical for Freedom).  After waiting for about 10 minutes, a staff member came out saying they were at their capacity of 75 kids and they could only accept more kids as others left.  We later heard there were "1,000 kids" on this sailing, but not sure how accurate that number is.  We've been on Freedom (and other ships) over holiday weekends and Spring Break and never had this issue before.  The next two nights we were in line before 7:30 PM and didn't have a problem getting in.

Has anyone else heard of this capacity issue on other ships?  Could there be a change in the capacity limits or staffing in Adventure Ocean?

Just trying to see if this is a new issue going forward or something specific to that sailing.

It's been reported rarely on the forums, especially over holidays.  I'd like to note that on Cunard, you sign up for kids club hours and once you've signed up those hours are yours.  Your child can leave and return without a problem.  Its a much better system than having to stand on line for a 2 or 3 hour session.
