Radiance Cheaper than others?

Is there a reason why the Radiance pricing is cheaper than the others? On the RCCL website, the same itinerary, departure week, and duration is usually $200-300 less and sometimes as much as $400 less sailing on the Radiance as opposed to the Navigator for instance.

 

Does it have something to do with lower volumes because of the recent incident on the Radiance?

What recent incident are you talking about that happened on the Radiance?

Wasn't the incident that you refer to on the Brilliance while in the Med? The Radiance sails Alaska when it's not in the Caribbean.

 

We just sailed on the Radiance and had a great trip; she calls at only three ports and has three days at sea. Maybe that is a reason for the difference in price?

We are booked on the Radiance for November and just got a nice price drop. The Radiance is a beautiful ship - enjoy the cheaper pricing while you can still get it :)

Maybe it depends on what time of the year you are looking at. For instance, maybe if the sailing is more family friendly (holidays, summer etc.) the larger ship may be more attractive to those with children and sales more brisk and therefore more money...just a thought.

ON radiance now - no problems here at all; Problem is RC put most of their ships in the Caribbean this spring. Until some of the ships start their re-positionings and thin out the ranks here, over capacity in the carib and prices are/have dropped

Hey BPWJR, how is the cruise going. You should be at Grand Cayman today...we are on Radiance two weeks from now (Apr. 2 sailing), same itinerary as yours. Hope you are having a great time. When you get back, let us know how it went. :)
