Catalina Island????

We are on the NCL Jewel in December and scheduled for Catalina Island, DR twice (b2b). I have found very little on the island. I did find one review from over a year ago but that is it.  

 

Has anyone been to this island recently? Any information would be great.

 

Seen there was no food and the person that did the review did not know if there was drinks.  Wondering if that has changed.
