jeffregpuck Posted March 6 #1 Share Posted March 6 (edited) I feel like this has probably been asked/answered before, and I DID do a search, but didn't really find what I was looking for. We have sailed in the Haven a few times and it was absolutely wonderful. However, we are looking at a cruise on a ship that does not have the Haven. What are suite perks that are included and is it worth it if there are no dedicated areas like the Haven has? What we loved about the Haven: A dedicated restaurant and the concierge perks like being escorted on/off ship, reserved seating in shows, and early access to some areas. The Haven bartenders are always top notch, and while we like the private area of the Haven, that is of less importance than the service we received. Curious about others' experiences.. We were in a suite on the Sky. We ate breakfast and lunch in Cagney's. As far as I recall, all other perks were similar to those on the larger ships with a true Haven. Our experience was great! You won't have a Haven bar, or a dedicated restaurant. You will have either Moderno's or Cagney's available for breakfast and lunch. The menu is similar to what you'd see in the full Haven. Ok...so the "suite menu" for breakfast and lunch is similar to the Haven restaurant and not just a private restaurant that serves the same as main dining? ggTexasGal Posted March 6 #5 Share Posted March 6 The menus for breakfast and lunch are similar, or the same, as a Haven Menu depending on the ship.

You have breakfast and lunch served in Moderno/Cagney's (they use the salad bar for the breakfast bar you had in the Haven Restaurant). The menus are very similar to the Haven menus. The Concierge "sets up shop" (i.e., has a table they use as a desk) in the restaurant to assist you. There is a single Concierge, not a team of Concierge + Assistant Concierge. Butler service works about the same. No Haven courtyard or sundeck. No Haven lounge. No Haven bar. Your out with the steerage guest sharing the facilities on the ship including loungers, pools, and hot tubs. On the small ships, we love the forward facing suites... best rooms on any ship. We would not spend the money on the Haven on a small ship.
Rare ColdCruise Posted March 7 #8 Share Posted March 7 OP reported What we loved about the Haven: A dedicated restaurant and the concierge perks like being escorted on/off ship, reserved seating in shows, and early access to some areas. You will get almost everything you reported you loved, the exception being you will not have dinner in a dedicated restaurant. Suite pax’ dinner arrangements will be the same as those sailing balcony and below.
