picruiser Posted March 12 #1 Share Posted March 12 Our multigenerational family is booked on the NCL Jade southbound from Whittier to Vancouver in June, 2025. Is the Jade a kid friendly ship? And is Alaska kid friendly? I know that all of the parents can't wait to visit, l but I'm hoping the kids ages 8 to 13 have a great time as well. Thanks! Kerry's Girls Posted March 12 #2 Share Posted March 12 Just was on the Jade last summer. It's a fantastic family ship and will be packed with kids your kids' age on a June Alaska cruise. They will have a ball. I think Alaska is the best destination for kids, even more than the Carib. So much to do and explore in each port.

Other than that, there was nothing for them to do, really. Jade broke down 3 days into our 10 day Southern Caribbean cruise and we had to go home. The smoke permeated the entire middle ship, the swaying was very pronounced, the food was average at best, other than the crepes in the buffet during dinner. I hope you enjoy your cruise! My kid enjoys every cruise he is on, whether or not it has bells and whistles. Edited March 15 by Itchy&Scratchy
