Hipockets Posted March 25 #1 Share Posted March 25 Just got off 15 days Manaus to Miami on the Quest that was great. The one thing that was a way overpriced was a tender ride to Devil's Island in French Guiana at $180 per person that was not any type excursion just a tender to the island. mbarker Posted March 25 #2 Share Posted March 25 We were on that sailing as part of the Grand South America cruise. The tender was not going to cost anything. Don't know where you got the idea there would have been a charge to go to Ile Royale, had we been able to make the stop. All tenders, everywhere, were never a charge. The $180 was for an optional ZODIAK outing to neighboring Ile Saint-Joseph. No one is allowed on Devil's Island. In the end, rough seas prevented anyone from going ashore. 1

SFTraveler53 Posted April 3 #4 Share Posted April 3 Not on the trip, but gotta agree with @mbarker. Seabourne does not "charge" for using its tenders to go ashore in the ports that it visits.
where-to-next Posted April 5 #5 Share Posted April 5 We were on the same cruise. The only person that got off the ship at Devil's Island was the pilot! The planned landing by tender was of course complimentary, whereas all zodiac excursions were overpriced.
commodoredave Posted April 6 #6 Share Posted April 6 We did Iles du Salut on the Pursuit in October. As excursions are included on expedition voyages, our visits to Ile Joseph and Ile Royale were free. We had a beautiful day and the excursions were very interesting.
