Chat feature on Princess App

Does anyone know if you get notified when you receive a message on the app?

Sailed on the Enchanted over Christmas under the old Princess APP.   There was not a notification when a test came in.  You had to have the chat feature open and looking at your phone.  Maybe the new APP will have that feature but I kinda doubt it.

You have to have the app opened.  There will be like a red dot on the bottom part of the app where chat tab is at when you get a message.  The feature of an actual notification on top of the screen like when you get an email is blocked by default and you cannot switch it to allow notifications to be turned on.

This is one of the things that everyone has been complaining about since the *first* app was released.  It's almost useless.  And so simple (programming) to fix!

Thanks for your responses.  I was hoping the new app would be more useful for communications.  On my last cruise we ended using WhatsApp.

I agree with you Rick, it would be so simple to fix.
