Car rental question

Does anybody know the closest car rental agency to the Port of Miami?

We are flying into FLL(we are getting car at FLL airport) and staying overnight, to return car in Miami. We are looking at all the car rental sites on the internet, but we have no idea, which Miami is the closest to the cruise ships. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Avis opened a new office recently in downtown Miami, half a mile from the port.

we rented from thrifty in ft lauderdale and are keeping the carv overnight in miami and returning it to the miami airport in the morning and taking thriftys free shuttle to the port of miami from there. hope this helps ya out.
