best beach/shopping

hi we will be in aruba on april 7.our ship the serenade of the sea with the royal carribean.we aregetting in around 7 am leaving at 1 pm on the 7. really love to go to the beachs i heard there are so many. which are the best.should i do a tour from the ship or do it my self. i love to see alittle about aruba.i like to do some shopping. where is the best place to shop. in massachusetts there are tons of places to shop. but this is different.l any good ideas from anyone who has been there.love to haer from you:cool:
