lindylooellalouise Posted April 24 #1 Share Posted April 24 Hi we are booked on Queen Anne in QG suite 8225 can anyone cast their expert eye over the photos of the aft and do they think that these suites will be fully shaded due to what appears to be a very deep overhang. Thetis22 Posted April 24 #2 Share Posted April 24 It depends which way the ship is facing. If the sun is behind the ship, I'd assume it would shine on the aft balconies

BigMac1953 Posted April 24 #4 Share Posted April 24 (edited) We've had many trips on both QV and QE on the stern. QV used to have very large balconies but were severely reduced after the refit. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed them, even with the overhang. We have 3 cruises booked on QA, on the deck below your's, so expect it will be fine. Just don't make too much noise above us 🙂 Edited April 24 by BigMac1953 punctuation
Rare Victoria2 Posted April 24 #5 Share Posted April 24 (edited) Of course, it does depend what time of the year you're sailing, and where. Mid summer, the sun will be high. Spring and later summer and nowhere near the equator, the sun won't be as high...that's as long as my geography teacher was right a decade or so [ 🙃 ] ago! edit having seen some photographs, I'm actually looking forward to our cruises on QA this year! Just don't make too much noise above us 🙂 Hi we’ve sailed many times on QE and QV on deck 8 in the aft suites and thoroughly enjoyed them all we just love being on board Cunard and the overhang wasn’t a problem but after seeing a photo of the Queen Anne it looked so much bigger but we’re going to have a great time anyway and if we do make too much noise 😱 you’re very welcome to come and join us 🤭

Thanks for the reply I panicked a bit thinking it was going to be a problem, but we can’t wait to board Queen Anne she looks so different to what we’re used too but are going to enjoy every single minute 👍
