1050 Ticket Time for Colosseum from Civitavecchia?

Our dock time is stated as 0645 in Civitavecchia, and we plan to take the train independently (no organized tour) and go straight to the Colosseum.  Does a 1050 ticket time seem reasonable to book?

More than reasonable.

 

Let's assume you get to the station in time for the 7:58 train (more than reasonable).  You take this to the Roma Ostiense station, arriving at 9:06, then walk through the underground passageway to the Piramide metro station.   Take the metro (direction either Rebibbia or Jonio) for two stops to Colosseo and you're there.  You'd be at least an hour early.
