elmac40 Posted May 26 #1 Share Posted May 26 Hi - Potentially a first time cruiser on Queen Mary 2! Next year will be our 30th wedding anniversary and are looking at a TA crossing in a Queens Suite. We are regular HAL cruisers. From the suites available, some are opposite the Concierge Lounge on Deck 9 (the other remaining suites are connecting suites which I don't want). Has anyone stayed in one of the suites beside the Concierge Lounge? I'm slightly worried about the early morning "traffic" as on other cruises some cruisers don't have a volume control! 😁. The other suite we're considering is on Deck 10 at the front. Any advice on Queens suites to a Cunard newbie would be appreciated. Many thanks! Bell Boy Posted May 26 #2 Share Posted May 26 I have just disembarked QM2 , I can confirm that the suites opposite the Concierge are NOT exactly opposite. I had to check this out only a few days ago for friend who has already booked one. The suite doors are a good several yards away from the doors of the Concierge lounge I doubt you will have any problems with noise. Hope this helps. I had Queen Victoria suite (10001 deck 10) , however, this suite does not have a balcony - Balcony suite is Queen Elizabeth suite deck 10 Fwd.
Rare s.s.France Posted May 26 #3 Share Posted May 26 The Concierge Lounge is a quiet place, and while I havent yet stayed so close to it, I wouldnt hesitate. I fact I am booked in 9033 in a future voyage which is opposite the Lounge. You can hardly hear people when you are in the corridor. I never heard noise from the corridor with the door of the suite closed. Since the lead-in to the suite is a small corridor the door is further apart from the bed area than in a normal cabin.

You reassured us tremendously. Hope to sail with you again soon.

Just curious: the Q3 Queen Victoria suite (10001) is an accessible suite. Does it still have a tub, or is it shower(s) only?

Booking near the Concierge Lounge also means you can pop in for a quick expresso and pastry.snacks without going far. Coffee drinks are machine made (no barista) but still very good. The room itself is usually quiet but pax are in/out of that room and do visit the concierge during office hours. As others said, little worries about noise from the Concierge Lounge.
BigMac1953 Posted May 27 #8 Share Posted May 27 We have stayed near the concierge lounge several times. There is no noise whatsoever and it's a good location.

I used the free standing shower which appeared to be more powerful.

You’ll feel a nice sense of space and calmness onboard. Good choice!
