FYI, I failed to capture sailing into or out of Civitavecchia, but do have sailing out of Livorno  coming up later.

This was an interesting day. It didn't take long for the tour to officially go off of the rails. There was a major accident that caused the tour to be re-planned. As a result, we spent too much time in Volterra, and not enough in San Gimignano. Oh well. Yes, there was wine involved.

The driver tried several "shortcuts" but we never could get ahead of the accident. Apparently multiple vehicles involved, a fire, and at least one medivac by helicopter.

In Peccioli, Italy

 

A sky bridge connects the historic center with an elevator down to the newer parts of town below in the valley.  Titled Endless Sunset, the work by Patrick Tuttofuoco spirals around the walkway with a ribbon of color.  It turns what might be an ordinary bridge into a work of art.
