sea bright Posted June 1 #1 Share Posted June 1 We're long time Silversea cruisers considering an Explora Journey. One of the things we love about Silversea is that there is that on both sea and port days, the Restaurant/Atlantide is open for a leisurely, indoor, non-buffet lunch. Does Explora offer something similar?
saminina Posted June 1 #2 Share Posted June 1 Close enough that you will be happy. At least one of three will be open. Have not seen more than two open for lunch and Sakura is least comfortable for leisurely lunch. IME, likelihood of being open in this order. Sakura, Med Yacht, Fil Rouge. Fil Rouge is only non charge restaurant with cloth covered tables. All have nice cloth napkins. I'll guarantee you will be served better meals than what you are having on SS. Well, at least 90% of the time. In our case it has been 100% of the time. 2
Rare PaulMCO Posted June 2 #3 Share Posted June 2 The food is definitely better than anything SS can do and no surcharges. Port days -- one of the two restaurants (Sakura or Med Yacht). Sea Days -- two of the specialties were open. I do not think that Marble was ever open for Lunch. I do not know if the passenger count influences the number either we were close to 600. 1
detwings Posted June 2 #4 Share Posted June 2 There is no fee to eat at Sakura or Med Yacht for any meals. The only charge is the Chef's Kitchen. All other speciality restaurants are no charge. 2
