Arriving in Southampton at 7:30 a.m...how to store luggage before we board?

We are coming off of a European river cruise on day our transatlantic cruise leaves from Southampton. Good news is (since river boat spends the last day and night at final port in Amsterdam) we can get off our river boat that morning & fly nonstop for just an hour from AMS to the local Southampton Airport. However, only flight is super early...arrives in Southampton at 7:30 a.m. So worth it to avoid Heathrow and the long transfer but we would be stuck with two big suitcases plus hand luggage for at least 4 hours until we can board our ship. Any suggestions on what we can do in terms of activities or even hang out and store our luggage?

Southampton's airport is a small single-terminal regional airport which handles no more than a couple of dozen domestic and European flights per day. No long walks, no long queues, all very quick and civilised

There's a desk for taxis near the terminal exit, taxis for the 7 miles / 20 minute ride to the city centre, cruise terminals etc are a bit over-priced at around £25.

Alternatively Southampton Parkway/Airport train station is just 100 yards from the terminal, trains to Southampton Central use the platform on the airport side (no need to cross the tracks),  3 trains per hour, journey time about 10 minutes, fare £4.10 pp.  But you'll need a short £5 to £7 taxi hop to either of the luggage storage options below (Maynard's is close, but up a hill) so the savings aren't huge.

Or cross the tracks to the other entrance to the airport station and call an Uber, but again you might not consider the savings worth the time & effort.

You can store luggage at

- Maynard's Food & News shop in Civic Centre Road opposite the front entrance to the Civic Centre (City Council offices), Maynard's is the more-convenient (esp if you want to visit  https://seacitymuseum.co.uk/ which is attached to the Civic Centre altho' it doesn't open until 10am) and is a 10 minute walk down the main shopping street called Above Bar to the City's Bargate and the large West Quay shopping centre.

The few old-town sights such as https://tudorhouseandgarden.com/ are 10 - 15 minutes beyond the BarGate

or

- Premier Inn in New Road (available to non-guests) This is not the Premier Inn West Quay, the one popular with cruisers. It's a 15 - 20-minute walk across a park to the Bargate (Use Maynard's if the weather is foul)

Here are all of those places on Googlemaps (ignore the total distance)

A taxi from either of those left-luggage places to any cruise terminal will cost £10 or less.
