Charla-Thank you for writing about your cruises on Refection. Hoping your return travels home went well and that you are comfortably settled into your home routine.

Question (s)- Is the Pride Deck Party now a regular Celebrity celebration or was it featured in recognition of Pride Month ?

Also, did you find that Celebrity is a welcomimg cruise line for LGBTQ passengers in that acitivities,shows and service is geared to please those passengers?

Funny you mention that horse. Are you familiar with the Clydesdale breed? I’ve wanted one ever since I was a kid.  They’re massive and very expensive around here to get and keep up and they really aren’t bred for any of the riding disciplines that I do.
 

But I don’t care. When I retire I shall be the crazy grey haired lady showing in the hunter/jumper ring on a big ole tank of a Clydesdale! 

But the price of their shoeing! I rode one fox hunting...thundering gallop and teeth jarring trot are all I remember!

Happy Saturday, Charla!!  Can you dispel any notion that booking a cabin directly under the pool deck is asking for unwanted noise?  I am preparing for a future booking under the Oceanview Cafe that sadly was the last remaining Sky Suite at the time of booking.  But the price was palatable and I’m down with the shady breezes on the overhung verandah.

A quick browse of social media this morning indicates Captain Kirk was mingling with the party revelers last night including a few of them dressed up like pirates!  Did they loose track of the actually dates for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan cruises?😂

 

Also, quick question:  Is “cruise nails” a thing now?  Or is this just a 3-night weekend getaway thing?  Just curious because I do not ever recall such a brigade of proud passengers showing off their pre-cruise manicures on social media.

Hi Paul,

we sailed on the Silhouette recently AFT Deck 12 Sky Suite, and the noise from the scrapping of chairs from the terrace area of the OVC really impacted on our otherwise enjoyment of the cabin and the cruise, it was a full cruise so unable to relocate but we did receive a generous OBC Voucher for our experience, after inviting GR Management into our cabin to experience the noise.

Trust this assists, apologies for gate crashing the thread.

 I continually ask myself why Celebrity chose to put all those Sky Suites on the S-class under the buffet.  One would think they would design a more premium location for their suite guest. 

 

Whlle we did not have an issue with our aft corner Sky Suites under the outside terrace on Silhouette or Reflection, we have had noise issues with the port side ones under the buffet. 

 

 Our sailing next year on Solstic has us in a Sky Suit under the buffet but we are hoping this time to get lucky since it is not under a service area but rather a seating area.  Guess we will find out.

Unfortunately it was the chairs in the seating area which caused the loudest noise, scraping against the non carpeted flooring, directly above the AFT location when guests moved them.

We enjoy Carnival, as this is what my retired Military pension can afford.  While I am sure that this is not usual for Celebrity, I would blame it on the "short" booze cruise getaway itinerary more than anything else.  Great review, Charla, as always.
