Panama City Question

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anyone has docked at the newish port terminal on Pericho Island next to Panama City.  I know NCL has been there at least once recently.  I'm trying to determine if it's really best to do a ship's excursion to Panama City or if I can find a non-ship excursion instead.  The port terminal is new, and now ships have begun to stop there.  But can anyone tell me what the process is for getting somewhere away from the port (if necessary) to meet a vendor?  Or to get out onto the causeway that separates the city from Pericho Island?  And if you take an NCL excursion, where do you go to find the coaches?

I've searched on the Ports of Call section, but not found much current information.
